Human trafficking is a serious crime in which a person (the perpetrator) recruits, transports or houses the victim through the use of physical force, threats, kidnapping, fraud, lies or abuse of superiority. The purpose is to exploit the victim sexually or force her to work in conditions similar to slavery or servitude, or to remove one or more organs from her body.
Victims of human trafficking in the U.S. can apply for a T visa to stay in the country with their immediate family members. Tomorrow we will continue discussing this issue.
